In the North-Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, Hamm is known with its lovely parks, amazing nature and glass elephants! When I first tell everyone about Hamm they immediately think of Hamburg but the only thing in common is; they are both in the North! There is so much to experience in here; cycling near Datteln-Hamm canal, enjoying spa while calming your body, taking walks on the parks while calming your soul... So if you want to tour Hamm, here is your guide.

As I said, Hamm is known with its elephants and parks, so the first stop should be the Maximilianpark! In this former coal mine and today's gorgeous park you can enjoy garden shows with the largest artificial elephant in the World! This glass elephant is also one of the famous landmark of the city. In the Maximilianpark you can enjoy wonderful gardens with lots of great spots for pictures, water park, the butterfly house, a lovely bike ride with lots of flowers and trees everywhere. It is definitely worth to visit.

The second stop should be the Kurpark, which is a spa park full of art deco designs! In here, you can enjoy spa resort concerts, salt works, which follows the old tradition of the brine bath, a very nice restaurant in the converted old farmhouse and cute ducklings!

It is time for history! Check out the Gustav Lübcke Museum in Hamm! In this museum you can get to see 13,000 years of art and culture with its five large permanent collections, the largest collection of Egypt in the Ruhr region, mummies and nationally attractive exhibitions!
