While the weather gets gloomier and colder every day in the Southern Hemisphere, here in the Northern one, we are blessed with sunshine and high temperatures. No matter from which part of the world you are, you should definitely plan to spend a part of your summer vacation in Bulgaria. Not only for the beauty of nature but for the general atmosphere, Bulgarian seaside grants for a perfect summer holiday. You can either visit the northern Bulgarian seaside, including the beaches Krapets and Durankulak or spend a day at the southern Bulgarian seaside and visit one of its gems, called Bash Bar

Where is the bar?

Today`s trip starts with you getting up early in the morning. The beach I want to take you to today, on this digital journey, is located south of Burgas. If you don't mind waking up early during vacation, it's best to get there as early as possible, to enjoy the peace and calm before it becomes crowded. So, if you are staying somewhere in Burgas, you should leave around 8:30 in the morning – the beach is located 30km south of Burgas, near Sozopol. If you are staying somewhere else, you should leave for the beach even earlier, around 8, because at the entrance of the town, there are traffic jams after 9 am, that would delay your arrival at the beach by at least an hour or two.

After passing Burgas to the direction of Sozopol, you should be looking for camping “Gradina”. Then, you should drive past the camping and go further along the beach by about 1.5km. You can either park somewhere near the campsite and walk to the Bar Bash, or park near it, as there is a big parking lot which is free of charge. Right next to the parking lot, there is a kite bar, and if you walk down the beach for five minutes, you will reach today`s destination – the Bash Bar

The Bash Bar

The bar is not that big, but is located right on the beach, and it's possible to pay a day`s fee for two chaise-longues and a beach umbrella. The price is 25 Bulgarian levs, which is equivalent to 12.50 Euros. There is a drink card with all types of alcohol-free and alcohol drinks, as well as hot beverages, such as coffee and tea, and even fresh juices. Moreover, right next to the Bash Bar, there is a place where you can get some food and snacks like fresh local pink tomatoes with feta cheese, or delicious potato fries with feta cheese (we do love the feta cheese), or other meat or fish dishes. Near the bar, there are many activities to enjoy during the day, such as windsurfing, beach volleyball, etc.

Given the great atmosphere and the fact that the Bash Bar has a small stage and occasionally hosts live events, this place is a must visit for everyone. Bulgarian and foreign musicians often visit the bar, which has become a synonym for excellent drinks and a lot of summer fun. Still, even if you are not a big fan of loud parties, you can visit the bar early in the morning and enjoy the peacefulness of the land and the sea. In conclusion, this gem of the southern Bulgarian seaside is worth every minute you spend there!
