Circus inspired cafe with a view – Dachboden

Attic bar or in German Dachboden located at the 8th floor of designer-boutique hotel 25h is the bar with one of the best views over the rooftops of Vienna. There are quite few rooftop bars in Vienna, but this one has probably the most relaxed atmosphere. The rooftop reference means that this cosy bar offers you a magnificent view of the city. From here you have beautiful view of the City Hall, Parliament, Palace of Justice and two most prominent Vienna museums, among others.

The hotel itself 25hours is converted old student hostel near the MuseumsQuartier. It is a part of a German design and boutique hotel chain, which currently operates 10 hotels in German speaking countries. They work with a range of designers, including Werner Aisslinger, dreimeta and Gothenburg's Stylt Trampoli. The hotels from the chain have been awarded with numerous design awards. Each hotel receives a different design concept. The Vienna hotel is inspired by the circus and inside of it you can find different interesting and humorous items with the same topic.

The hotel is conveniently located in the 7th district next to MuseumsQuartier and two metro lines orange U3 and purple U2, also not very far from the famous Ring boulevard. The bar at the top can be reached with the spectacular glass exterior lift. Dachboden has a concept of the big living room with lot of sofas, armchairs and long tables what gives the bar special, cosy atmosphere. There are even a bicycle and drums hanging from the ceiling. The highlight of the café is the terrace with a view over the city, from there you can even see the vineyards of Korneuburg and Vienna Forest. In summer the terrace has an atmosphere like the best beach bar, only without sand.

In the afternoon the bar is a quiet workplace, which turns to the after work location. However, in the evening the bar becomes the hotspot of the good parties. DJs play the tunes on the occasional evening and very often there are different interesting event organized here. You are also able to rent the place for your own party.

If you are hungry you will be able to order only cakes and snacks. However at the first floor of the hotel you can find very stylish restaurant. For the end just one suggestion: be a bit early in order to get the good seats, otherwise you have to stand at the bar and sometimes even queue up be for the entrance.
