The capital of the region is the city of Krapina, a very old city were archaeologist found really old Neanderthal bones, thus they opened a museum in the site. The region has a lot of rivers and cities build on them, like Zabok, Pregrada and Zlatar. The most impressive monument of the region is the Veliki Tabor Castle, the only Hungarian castle still build in Croatia. The region is also a vineyards of Croatia, so do not forget to test some of the wines of the region.
