Primorje-Gorski Kotar

This region is surrounded in the northern east Croatia littoral. It borders Slovenia on the north. The region is on the littoral so it has access to the Adriatic Sea, and many islands....

The most important ones are Krk, Cres, Losinj and Rab. The capital of this region is the port city of Rijeka. Full of culture and lots of really old and nice buildings from different folks who lived here; Greeks, Italians and Turks. It can be monuments, cathedrals, churches, castle. . . To get the best view on the city, go to Opatija a city on the other side of the coast. A bit at the north of Rijeka you will find the ski station of Platak. Next to this ski station there is the National Park of Risnjak, were you can see the Risnjak peak, but also the Kupa river and its source, who have really clear water.
