The capital is the city of Varazdin located on the Drava river. This city is known for its baroque monuments, like the Varazdin castle, Korzo church and the Croatian National theater. The rest of the region has lots of old churches and cathedrals of baroque style. There is a river going by the county, its the Drava river that follows the border with Slovenia. You will find three lakes, Ormoz, Varazdin and Dubrava. The two last ones have some really nice actives during the summer including beaches, water sports and animations. You can even rent log cabins. The small mountains of Ivanscica and Kalnik are the perfect place for a hick.
