The capital of the region is a city located really close to the Hungary border. The city of Virovitica is a nice typical little city with a nice castle and park. Slatina is a modern town of the county, which means “salt lake” in Croatian, but the lake is no longer in the remains. Really close to this city there is the Papuk Geopark, with is part of the UNESCO programme. Close to this park there is the Orahovica city were you can see the Ruzica Grad ruins and old Serbian Orthodox church.
