North-Western Czech Republic

Northwest is located in the north west of the country. It borders Germany to the east and the north. It includes the Karlovy Vary Region and Usti nad Labem Region....

The landscape in this region is very different. The border with Germany is dominated by the Ore Mountains. The southeastern part of the region is formed by the plains. Like a lot of regions in Czech Republic, this region is known for its cultural heritage such as Duchcoy chateau, Hnevin Castle, nunnery in Doksany. The region is also famous for its spa.
