Central Region

Central Denmark Region is located on the north-central portion of the Jutland peninsula. The region starts from Limfjord sea on the west, then follows the longitude of the Lovns Bredning lake on the north. On the south it stops after the Ringkøbing Fjord....

The largest city of the region is Aarhus. It is located on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula. The history of Aarhus began as a fortified Viking settlement founded in the 8th century. The city was founded on the northern shores of a fjord at a natural harbour. Midtjylland has some of the most beautiful nature in Denmark. The dramatic coastline is shaped by the uncompromising North Sea, and to the north the landscape is characterised by countless bays, straits and dunes by the beautiful Limfjorden. Set off into the rugged dunes and endless wild beaches of Denmark's West Coast.
