Bucharest is the capital and largest city in Romania. It is located in the southern part of the country....

Most important industrial and commercial center of the country, the city host 2 million inhabitants and is one of the largest cities in Southeastern Europe. Its iconic landmark is the massive, communist-era Palatul Parlamentului government building, with no less than 1,100 rooms. Nearby you can also visit the historic district of Lipscani (home to an energetic nightlife scene), the tiny yet lovely Eastern Orthodox Stavropoleos Church and the 15th-century Curtea Veche Palace, where Prince Vlad III (“The Impaler”) once ruled the country.
