To the south, it borders Croatia, with a direct access to the Adriatic sea. One of the nicest places is the coastline city of Piran, along with its nice beaches, old churches, and unforgettable sunsets. If you want to enjoy a view from above, climb on the top of the city walls. A bit north, you will find the regional park of Skocjan, famous for its UNESCO - registered caves and canyons. Koper, the biggest city of the region, is located on the coast. It is a very old city, surrounded by nature, that makes it a place definitely worth visiting.
