Gorizia

Gorizia is the westernmost Slovenian region. It borders Italy on its west. The region is located close to the Julians alps and the Soca river were its really easy to go for long hiking....

The best place to do that is the Triglav mountains, and meeting the Mount Triglav on top. You can also go hiking or rafting in the mountains. The biggest city is Nova Gorica, which is on the Italian border, but its not a touristic city. Idrija is the oldest mining city of the country and really close to it you will find the Lake of Divje Jezero, a great place to chill and tan. The region is located just in the middle of three wine regions, Kras, Brda and Vipava. So enjoy and taste some of them.
