Castile-La Mancha

This region, which links the industrial north and the legendary province of Andalusia, is the land of the literary hero Don Quixote, whose adventures made known its vast stretches of land encircled by mountain ranges, and its traditional lone windmills....

It possesses numerous nature parks as well as cities whose architecture and traditions will plunge visitors into the heart of the Arabic Middle Ages (from the 8th to the 12th centuries) and the Christian Renaissance. The famous city of Toledo, with its old town looking down from the mountain top, is itself worth a visit for the Alcázar and the Cathedral. The entire region is known for its wines and goat cheeses, along with the terroir products resulting from the warm climate and fertile soil.
