Fribourg

Fribourg is a canton located in the west part of the country, stuck between the Alps and the Central Plateau....

The canton is home to the artificial Lake of Gruyère. The Vanil Noir is the highest peak of the canton. The canton has a strong cultural heritage such as the Saint-Nicolas cathedral of Fribourg, the castle of Gruyères, the castle of Bulle, the museum of art and history of Fribourg and the Roman museum in the Vallon. There are also some really nice trails to hike or bike across the canton, during the summer as well as through the winter cold days.
