About the card

In order to obtain the card, you can either buy a plastic one or download the app on your phone. The Varna City Card mobile app is free of charge. Once you have it, you can register and use the many benefits it offers. There are different options, as well as prices - for children and adults. You can choose between a card for 24h, 48h or 72h.

The app uses your phone's location, and a connection to the internet, in order to gather information about all the interesting things around you. But, once you install it and register, you can also use the virtual map of the town of Varna offline.

 You can buy the digital version of the card from the official website or through the mobile app. If you prefer a plastic one, you can get it from Ginger shop at Varna Airport, a number of hotels, hostels and rent-a-car places throughout the city as well as in some places at Golden Sands resort near Varna. A full list of those you can find on the official website of Varna City Card. The card for adults costs 12 Euros for 24h, 16.50 Euros for 48h and 19.50 Euros for 72h. If you want the option adult with child, it would cost 16.50 Euros for 24h, 22.50 Euros for 48h and 27 Euros for 72h.

Ok, I want to try it, what kind of benefits do I get?

Once you get the card, you are allowed into 14 local museums and galleries without paying the entrance fee. Moreover, through the app, you receive discounts for more than 30 experiences, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops. Also, you can use the card for renting a car or for special tours, such as one dedicated to local craft beers.

For museum lovers, the card gives free entry to the local archeology museum, the Varna Aquarium, the Roman Thermae, the Stone Forest in the suburbs, and a Retro museum dedicated to Bulgaria`s socialist past.

For those fond of adrenaline, you get discounts for visiting Varna Karting Track, an aquapark, and an escape house, and a diving experience.
