Donovaly, Slovakia's winter paradise

Donovaly is a very popular ski resort in Low Tatras, in central Slovakia. The full name of the resort is Park Snow Donovaly, which is a Slovak language pun because it also means a dream park, which Donovaly ski resort certainly is. Skiing and Snowboarding

Park Snow Donovaly is definitely one of the best and well-maintained ski resorts in Slovakia. Even though it is located in the Low Tatras, the hills are pretty big, so you have hundreds of kilometers of skiing slopes. There are several cable cars and 19 ski slopes that are open until 21:00. Parts of the resort are also cross-country slopes or a riders park for skilled snowboarders and skiers, where they can jump on rails (if they dare). If you come with little children, don't worry, there is a smaller hill where they can learn how to ski or just have fun in the snow and build a snowman, for example. Part of the resort is, of course, a ski rental together with a shop and a ski school, where you can hire an instructor.

Winter sports are not just about skiing and snowboarding. There is an ice rink for all the ice-skating lovers out there. And if you are looking for something truly romantic to give you a bit of Cinderella vibes, then you can ride around this beautiful region in a horse-drawn carriage.
