La Casa de Papel (or Money Heist in English) is probably one of the greatest Spanish series ever made, and people from all around the world are watching it. Its followers often wonder where the places the robber band visited and spent time in are located. In this story, I am about to reveal some of the spots that you can find in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

Nuevos Ministerios as Banco de España

The complex building known as Nuevos Ministerios, located on the Paseo de la Castellana next to Azca, becomes the Bank of Spain in the third part of "La casa de Papel." The gold reserves held in its vault become the objective of the band led by the Professor, once the capture of Rio forces them to return to action with the new heist. The New Ministries, completed in 1942, now host the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security, the Ministry of Development and the Ecological Transition. You can find the real Bank of Spain at about 4 kilometers to the south, built in the late nineteenth century and well known for the gold clock that decorates its chamfer. And here it is a little secret: The Spanish Ministry of Development happily let Netflix use this filming space without asking for money!

Plaza de Callao

The central Plaza del Callao can be considered the "Madrid Times Square." It is a public space always crowded with people, where its cinemas, its stores, and its huge screens get Madrid visitors' attention. Plaza de Callao is also one of the places where it "rains money" in the first episode of the third part of the Netflix series. This money is thrown by the robbers themselves to distract the attention of the police. That scene has undoubtedly become one of many people's favorite scene of La Casa de Papel! Around 113 million people pass through here every year, which makes Plaza Callao the busiest place in the country and the third in Europe. Besides, you can enjoy some of the best views of Madrid from its many viewpoints.

The Four Towers

The skyscrapers, over which we see the full of banknotes airship, are known as the Four Towers. This is a business district located in the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, and the area hosts the highest skyscrapers in Spain, and some of the highest in the European Union: the Torre Espacio, Torre de Cristal, Torre PwC and Torre Cepsa. The construction of the buildings finished in 2008, and it is an area of offices and shops.
