I wrote about the most beautiful roof terraces in Budapest earlier, but the 360 bar winter garden is something quite different. The bar at the top of the highest building in Andrássy Avenue is equipped with six igloos on board, with three different themes, and each has eight seats. 360 Bar seems to be trying to disprove that there is no better amusement than spending a summer night at a rooftop terrace – claiming that great time with delicious dishes and nice music in an igloo is even better! There are six heated igloos with design furniture, which do not protect you from the adorable panorama but from the cold and rain. With this, winter chilling is gaining a new meaning: the 8-person translucent bubbles provide everything you need to enjoy yourself in an igloo above Budapest: carpets, blankets, pillows, mood-lighting, fireplace-like heater, music, and a wonderful view.

The semispherical constructions received three different themes:

To hit 360 bar, we just have to look up for Párisi Nagyáruház on Andrássy Street and take the elevator to the highest floor. When stepping out of the lift, we will bump into these semispherical constructions, that received three different themes according to the following:

I. Two with a look of orange-houses – jungle-styled couches, rattan palm furniture and green plants.

II. Two with designer effects – Edison bulbs and armchairs.

III. And two with Hütte-Style – billets and rag carpets.

There is also a loudspeaker that transmits the music from the DJ playing at the rooftop.

The whole idea comes from abroad, as a Hungarian group in charge for 360 bar had their stroke of genius by the river Thames in London. After glimpsing the idea of a rooftop bar, they decided to bring it home to Hungary. It seems everyone likes the idea since if you would like to have a dinner or drink here, you have to reserve a table a few days before. To be fit for winter atmosphere, they prepare winter cocktails and a seasonal menu. Having this magnificent place to chill at, we may be able to wait for the summer more patiently.

Have some delicious snacks and prepare for the party

Although there are ten different types of food, 360 Bar is more like a drinking spot where you can go with your friends before you go out. I suggest you try the cheese fondue, which they call winter specialty, you won’t be disappointed. You can choose from a large selection of wine and beer, but the cocktail menu is also adequate. Of course, you can have a Cosmopolitan or a Mojito, but if you already have a local specialty, you should taste it. Choose from three hot and three cold cocktails, and the staff will be happy to help you with this.

All in all, everything is ready to enjoy yourself in an igloo, with wonderful dishes and delicious cocktails with a great view above Budapest.
