This garden first opened in 1996 with the name Alto do Parque. In 2000 it was renamed to Jardim Amália Rodrigues, as an hommage to the world-famous Fado singer. It is located at the top of the Eduardo VII park, which makes it a perfect spot for amazing views over the city. The garden itself is designed in a post-modernist style, allowing for distinctive areas, with sometimes intimate and other times more open, wider ambiances. There is an amphitheater, a lake close to a bar with esplanade, several sculptures to admire, large grass areas for a light lunch or picnic and walking paths with lovely sights around the whole garden.
