Autumn in Russia is a wayward lady. Most often, she frowns, saddens, and cries with prolonged rains. But, if she is in a good mood - she gives a generous gift - warm sunny days. This short period is called the "golden autumn". It is foolish not to take advantage of such weather and not go for a walk. I invite you to spend a day or two in the Deer Streams Nature Park. Golden Autumn in the Middle Urals will impress you with its beauty. Even if the weather deteriorates, your enjoyment of the walk will not decrease.

How to get there

Natural Park Deer Streams is located in the southwest of the Sverdlovsk Region on the Serga River. It occupies an area of 12 thousand hectares in one of the most popular tourist areas of the Middle Urals. It is 120 kilometers from Yekaterinburg. It is best to get there by car. In the village of Bazhukovo, where the entrance to the park is located, there is a parking lot. You can take a bus to Mikhailovsk, but then you will have to walk about two kilometers to the park.

There is a cafe in the park where you can just have a bite or eat tightly. In addition, mangal zones are provided on the territory, here you can cook kebab on your own. If you plan to spend a few days in Deer Streams, then book accommodation in advance

Nature parks are created to preserve the wealth and the diversity of flora and fauna and to allow people to relax in nature, get to know it better, and touch its beauty. Roe deer, elk, beavers, squirrels, hares, foxes, wild boars, and hedgehogs live in Deer Streams. Ducks, herons, gray cranes, waders, rooks, swallows come from warm countries in spring. Owls, hazel grouse, black grouse, wood grouse, and woodpeckers live in the park all year round

The park has several tourists’ routes. The easiest route is 6 kilometers, and the longest route is 15 kilometers. All routes pass along the equipped trails laid in the dense forests of the natural park. You will enjoy the picturesque scenery, breathe in the clear mountain air, and see many interesting things.

The "Kissing Rocks" resemble the faces of people who kiss each other. Once, many years ago, the water level in the river was 20 meters higher. Water worked from above with snow and rains and from below by underground currents. Then, the water left, and it turned out beautifully. If you kiss under these rocks, your love will be eternal, or so does the local legend state.

On the left bank of the Serga River is located one of the most beautiful caves in the Urals, the Friendship Cave. It is very old; on the arches of the cave, you can see the fossils of ancient organisms that lived in the sea 300-400 million years ago. There are many underground lakes and streams in the cave. In winter lakes and streams freeze, many ice stalagmites of various shapes are formed.

There are many caves in the park, which are historical monuments. Here paleontologists and archaeologists are excavating. The sites of an ancient man over 15.000 years old were discovered. One of the ancient cave paintings - deer - became the emblem of the park.

Another hallmark of the park is the "Drinking Horse" rock. If you look closely, you can distinguish lips, nostrils, eyes of a horse that came to a watering place. The “horse” is especially well seen from the water during the rafting.

The Angel of One Hope figure appeared in the park not so long ago. According to the plan of the Swedish artist Lena Edwall, the figures of angels, installed in different parts of the world, will hug the planet, protect it from fear, despair, catastrophes. The first sculpture in Russia was installed in the Deer Streams Park. It is believed that the desires made here will certainly be fulfilled.
