Winter time in Vienna can be very eventful. Wiener Eistraum (Vienna Ice Dream) is the most beautiful ice skating area located directly in front of the Vienna City Hall. There is something magical about ice skating watching idyllically illuminated facade of Rathaus. The smaller area opens already mid-November until the mid-January. After the biggest Christmas market moves from the main square, little ice world grows to proud 8000 square meters and becomes huge ice skating ring the real paradise for ice skaters. It stays open until the beginning of march.

Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment because you can rent it directly on spot. The highlight of this skating area is the Ice path through magically illuminated City Hall Park. Here you can find numerous outdoor booths that offer different delicacies and hot drinks from mulled wine to tea. Viennese winter fairy-tale awaits you, be sure to check it if you are in the city.
