The Brecknock Museum is located in the old Fraternity and Brecknockshire Hall which is a II * grade listed building. It was built in 1842 by the architects, Wyatt and Brandon and is one of the finest examples of the Victorian early "regeneration of" architecture in Wales. Brecknockshire Museum is located here since 1974 and there are galleries that exhibit Archeology, Art, Rural Life and Urban Life with a view of a re-interpreted Victorian Vessel.


Brecknock Museum is housed in the grade II * listed former Brecknockshire Shire Hall and Assize Court. It was built in 1842 by the architects Wyatt and Brandon and is one of the finest examples of early Victorian "Greek revival" architecture in Wales. It has housed Brecknock Museum since 1974 and has galleries displaying Archeology, Art, Rural Life, Town Life and the re-interpreted Victorian Assize Court scene.
