The Archaeological Museum in Split is the oldest museum institution in Croatia and Southeast Europe, founded in 1820. The museum houses around 150000 archaeological objects in eleven collections (Prehistoric, Greek-Hellenistic, Roman-Provincial, Late Antiquity, Medieval, Epigraphic, Numismatic, Underwater Archeology Collection, Art Collection and Art Crafts, Collection of Modern Monuments and a Collection of Modern Age Monuments ), and pedagogical work is also carried out. In addition to the museum building in Split, the Museum also has a regional building in Solin (Tusculum) in Manastirine, as well as the area archaeological collection of Issa in Gospa Batari, Vis, and at both sites, Salona and Issi, regular archeological research is carried out.

Ticket Price: 10 kn - children, students, pensioners 20 kn - adults FREE ENTRY: to members of HAD, HMD, ICOM, ICOMOS (with the presentation of membership card). The pensioners are free on Monday. Notice TOURIST AGENCIES: From March 1, 2012, payment is made exclusively by cash immediately before visiting the Museum or credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron and Maestro.
