Assumption Cathedral of Virgin Mary, Nur-Sultan

The Assumption Cathedral of Virgin Mary (Svyato Uspenskyi Cathedral) in Nur-Sultan was built in 2006. In 2010, the patriarch of Russia consecrated the Cathedral. The interior artworks were done by artists from Russia. The Cathedral is mostly visited by the Orthodox believers and tourists who want to see the 68-meter tall building together with the bells weighing over 20 tons. © iStock / freedarst
