Description

This contain shows Brabo who according to the myth defeated the giant Antigoon. Antigen lived next to the river De Scheldt en demanded toll from boats passing by. When people declined to pay him, he cut of their hands and threw it in the river. Brabo killed Antigoon, cut of his hand and threw it in the river. The act of throwing a hand is "hand werpen" in Dutch, which is the origin for the name of the city "Antwerpen".
