Distance: 21km Cala Blanca – a small, relaxed town – sits on the west coast of Menorca, where the sunsets are legendary. It has a good mix of shops, bars and restaurants scattered around the place – with more at neighbouring Cala Santandria. And between the two, there are some great little coves to relax in. Sandy coves The beach at Cala Blanca is in a small sandy cove, protected by low cliffs and fringed by pine trees. There are plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas, plus restaurants and bars on standby. The water here is very calm and shallow, which suits paddlers, pedalo riders and snorkellers alike. Relaxing walks and bike rides There’s a path along Cala Blanca’s low cliffs which is perfect for a relaxing walk – and as you stroll you might be able to make out Majorca’s mountains on the horizon. And speaking of walks, the Cami de Cavalls is an island-wide network of paths that take you along the coast and into the countryside. Cyclists, meanwhile, have a great cycle lane down to Cala’n Bosch or north to Ciutadella.
