"GrachtenGalerie" is part of the successful company "GrachtenAtelier". The driving forces behind these concepts are Caroline and Jacqueline, not just twins (affiliation) but also two action lives (entrepreneurship). Their diverse passions in culinary and creative areas turn out to be a golden combination.

The twins did not work their artistic passion from a strange, their grandmother's collected years of famous masters. From a short time she has made twin acquaintances with art.

This passion caused Caroline to start painting. And with success! Her works are always represented in the gallery.

Maria Mens, the mother of the twins, is not only a collector of art, but also knows perfectly to melt it with her own or other decor, not surprising because her interior was previously located at the venue of the gallery.

'Waitress' Jolien Verhaegen has become part of the 'family' and is the gallery owner. She has been raised in the midst of art and her collection seems to expand every exhibition again.

Furthermore, the team is strengthened by trainees. At the moment, Menno Mevissen, Nirma Haggenburg and Kimber Brinkman are. They also look forward to greeting you as a guest.

The GrachtenGalerie is located in one of the most beautiful places of Utrecht - the OudeGracht - above the historic Utrecht district cellars. Every six weeks we exchange exhibition, we show work by young and established artists in which we choose diversity and bringing together different disciplines.

The successful opening (May 2011) and the first anniversary of the GrachtenGalerie are a fact and in the coming months we will be greeted by several special artists, and of course they will return. We also strive for new possibilities and optimization of the gallery. This beautiful (art) life and we do not stand still.

Our doors are open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 until 17:00 and by appointment.
