Japanese Park, Antofagasta

The park was a donation of colony of Japanese families, together with executives of the Nippon Mining company, which then operated in the area. They decided to donate a public space, with green areas and walking trails, the park was facing the sea. It was opened in 1963, three kilometers from the center, next to the beach. The complex, over 4,500 square meters, was built with the Kaiyushiki Teien system, which allows visitors to appreciate all the elements from any observation point. ©wikimedia/archivo AFP
