A peaceful garden, also known as Jardim Olavo Bilac, after the brasilian poet, sitting in the square that gives it its name. Originally built in conjunction with Palácio das Necessidades, its design shows a mix of baroque and XIXth century arquitecture. It holds a few green lawns sprouting trees, bushes and flowers, and crossed by pathways, centered by a baroque fountain holding an obelisk with latin cross, and offers a viewpoint over Alcântara, the Tejo river, the south bank and the 25 de Abril bridge.
