Kizhi is an island in Lake Onega, Karelia and one of the largest open-air museums in Russia. This is a unique historical, cultural and natural complex. The basis of the museum collection – the Kizhi Ensemble – is the UNESCO World cultural and natural heritage site. You can reach it by hydrofoil from the city of Petrozavodsk (68 km).
