Since the arrival of Mylène Lauzon at the direction of La Bellone in January 2015, La Bellone has become a place of research and reflection, which is dedicated to the creative process, a tool for performing artists and all those who are interested in the making of scenic writings. To do this, its team organizes conferences, seminars, residencies as well as multiple meetings with artists and “knowledges” from various fields. La Bellone co-organizes some of these activities in collaboration with local, national and international partners. In addition, its Documentation Center, active since 1988, an essential tool for research, meets the needs of researchers, cultural operators and artists with its vast database, which is composed of press articles and articles taken from specialized theatrical magazines. The guideline could now be summed up as follows: La Bellone is a place that considers artistic knowledge as social, precious and necessary knowledge. ©Wikimedia/Patrick Despoix
