Marinha da Troncalhada, Aveiro

Transformed into an Ecomuseum, the Troncalhada marine shows its visitors the methods of artisanal salt production, explores the characteristic landscape, fauna and flora, as well as keeps alive the experiences and traditions associated with this secular activity. Being a permanent open-air museum, visitors can make their visit independently by consulting the various interpretative panels available. If you want a deeper knowledge you can request a guided tour accompanied by one of the City Museum's educational services technicians [minimum 6 people]. Despite the seasonal character of the characteristic traditional salt production, guided tours of this museum can be requested all year round and are ensured indoors if weather conditions are not favourable.
