Masarykovo muzeum v Hodoníně

The Masaryk Museum in Hodonín is a contributory organization of the South Moravian Region. In addition to the workplace in Hodonin it also manages Museum of History in Kyjov Town Museum in Veselí nad Moravou and the Slavic fortified settlement in Mikulčice

The museum has a historical, ethnographic and archeological focus. A specialized workplace linking Hodonin, Kyjov and Veselí is the Regional Workplace for Folk Culture. Besides professional and exhibition activities, all workplaces offer events and special programs for schools and the public.

Masaryk Museum in Hodonin The museum's interest is the only permanent exhibition in Moravia devoted to the most significant Hodonín native, 1st Czechoslovak President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. The main motif of the exhibition is the journey through its entire life. Complements are three short audiovisual programs and a final film. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of Hodonín. The museum also organizes various events in the building of the National Class in the Europe Hall.

Town Museum Veselí nad Moravou The museum building in the oldest part of the city houses collections from the surroundings of Veselí nad Moravou and Horňácko. Archaeological finds prove the continuity of the settlement of the city and the region from the early Stone Age to the Middle Ages. Historical collections represent the history of the town since the founding of the castle and settlement near Moravia. The ethnographic section presents the beauty of folk clothing, the variety of folk ceramics, furniture, embroidery and Easter eggs.

Kyjov Museum of Homeland Studies Founded as the Archives and Museum of the Royal City of Kyjov, Gymnasium Professor Jan Kucera. The collections are accessible from 1913. Thanks to Ludwig Kalus, he acquired his residence in a Renaissance chateau. In 2010 a new modern building is part of the museum. Visitors can see the ethnographic, archaeological and naturalistic exposition. In the form of a large-scale dioramate, including the significant biocenoses of our region, it dates back to 2004.
