MediaLab Prado, the citizen’s cultural lab

Medialab-Prado is a program part of the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism of the Madrid City Council. It is conceived as a citizen laboratory for the production, research and dissemination of cultural projects that explore collaborative forms of experimentation and learning that have emerged from digital networks. Since April 2013 it is located in the Serrería Belga, one of the few industrial architecture buildings that survive in the city of Madrid. In this space workshops, open laboratories, meetings and lectures take place. The digital facade of 10x15 meters facing north towards Letras square features an interactive projects program.
