Μουσείο Σολωμού και Επιφανών Ζακυνθίων

The Museum is located in Zakynthos, in the historic Piazza San Marco. The ground floor houses the Mausoleum, which from January 17, 1968, hosts the bones of the national poet of Greece, Dionysios Solomos and Andreas Kalvou and his wife. The first floor of the building includes classrooms Dionysios Solomos, Dionysios Romas, Nicholas Thalia Koliva and Wing Eminent Zakynthos, the Foundation Hall Panayotis and Effie Michelis, which continues in the new part of the ground floor. Between the two floors opened the small room with the works of Amalia Ntagianta, while the second floor operates the hall S. Stavrou. Niarchos, the Library and Documentation Department.

Our goal is to tour the Museum website enables the visitor to experience the best collections and access to specialized information on each exhibit, to enrich their knowledge and to better prepare his visit to it. Can finally get information on adaptive electronic navigation system for visitors, with emphasis on educational activities, developed within its own facilities, using portable handheld computers (PDA's), which brings it to the forefront of the museums of our country.
