Museo Civico Albano Laziale

The Museo Civico Albano, born in 1973, is headquartered in the building of the neoclassical Villa Ferraioli, inside a beautiful park. The villa was built around 1834 and extended in its present form at the behest of the Marquis Ferrajoli around 1845. The exhibition takes place on the three floors of the Villa, with over two thousand archaeological finds, covers a time span ranging from the Lower Paleolithic to the Renaissance.

The Museum of the Second Parthian Legion, founded in 2008, occupies several rooms of the substructures of Cellomaio Terme, were built for the soldiers of Legio II Parthica by Emperor Caracalla. The museum exhibition starts with the reconstruction of the main armament military figures of the Legion, and is dedicated to the Castra Albana and the major monuments of the city related to this camp.
