The Civic Museum for the Prehistory of Monte Cetona, established in 1990, documents the oldest phases of human settlement in the area around the Cetona massif, from the Middle Paleolithic (50,000 years from today) up to the Bronze Age ( 4,000 years from today).

The museum tour continues in the Natural Archaeological Park of Belverde, where it is possible to visit most of the sites from which the findings found in the Museum and the Belverde Archeodrome come, where there is an educational workshop, the reconstruction of a residential area referable to the 'Bronze Age, a natural cavity in which a Palaeolithic encampment was set up and a sector for the simulation of archaeological excavation activities, connected by an itinerary through the woods that touches some of the most evocative and panoramic points of the whole territory.
