Museo Civico TEMPO - del Tessuto, dell'Emigrante e della Medicina Popolare

The Museum was founded in 2000 by the commitment of local scholars on the historical anthropological phenomenon linked to the textile tradition iblea and the migratory phenomenon has two sections and different exhibition locations. The section dedicated to the Textile Museum displays the different types of fabric, woven from the noble to the farmer, the section dedicated to children's kit and finally dedicated to the history section of the frame. The section entitled Emigrant House has its origin from Liberty canicattinese, small sculptural and architectural heritage. In it you expose the objects linked to emigration of the early twentieth century, highlighting, through a wealth of correspondence, the causes exogenous and endogenous, the myth and the rites of the start and finally the documentation relating to mutual aid societies.
