Muzeum města Mnichovo Hradiště

Our expositions are mainly the beauty of the local region and the traditional folk culture of Mnichovo Hradiště. The archaeological exposition with the giant model of Drábské světničky from Professor Jan Filip, the exposition of the mnichovradišťské pharmacists and the salon of the photographer, painter and literary Bedřich Ženíšek in a unique way show the life and rich cultural heritage of the inhabitants of Mnichovo Hradiště and its surroundings. Visiting and seeing the works of the artists of the region, the remains of the Cistercian Monastery, historic bicycles or magnificent carved hives, have been a long way from the past for centuries. Visitors to us also do business with eager researchers who can benefit from archive collections and libraries. In addition to the permanent exhibition, you can enjoy thematic exhibitions, varied around the quarter. Every visitor to our museum is warmly welcomed!

Where can we find us? The museum is located on the 2nd floor of the monastery of the castle. Go to the bell at the door to the left of the entrance to the castle box.

Opening hours: April - October: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays 09:00 - 12:00, 13:00 - 15:00 May - September: Daily except Monday 9:00 - 12:00, 13:00 - 16:00 Closing day: Monday
