This park is one of the most sought-after for a nice picnic with family or friends. It is named after José Gomes Ferreira, portuguese writer and poet, and is also known for the woods in which it sits, called Mata de Alvalade. Trees abound, so there is plenty of shade. Specially prepared areas for lunch have several tables and a stone grill. As an alternative, there is a kiosk with a nice esplanade, great toasts and frequent live music.
