The name of this unique bar comes from the grocery store that used to be located here since 1901. As a bar, Pavilhão Chinês dates from 1986. These dates can be read in the beautiful entrance of the house, but the real treat is inside. The old grocery shelves and cellaretes are full of thousands of collectible objects, antiques of different origins and stories, covering the entire five rooms of the bar and evoquing a house of curiosities. It is the work of Luís Pinto Coelho, who made Pavilhão Chinês a true wonder of Lisboa. There is a lively, old museum-like but also cosmopolitan atmosphere. The bar serves different spirits, cocktails, juices and snacks. There are also snooker tables.
