Pico Ruivo

Pico Ruivo is Madeira's highest. The almost 3km trail rises along the side of the mountain. Next to the shelter house shelter of Pico Ruivo you will have access to 3 other trails that will take you to different parts of the island: Pico Areeiro, Encumeada and Vereda da Ilha. Along the way there are several rock cambins, due to the abrupt climatic variation frequent in the area, either being submerged by a sea of ​​clouds or above them. On days of good visibility, you'll be able to see many different parts of Madeira form the top of Pico Ruivo.
