The São Julião beach is divided between two counties by the river Falcão. The largest extension is located in the Sintra side, making this the northest beach of the Sintra county. The other margin of the beach belongs to Mafra. The beach extends for 600 meters under the cliffs, is very easy to access and provides two free parking lots. It is very frequented by watersports fans, like surf and bodyboard and is also a fishermen' spot. There are several bars and restaurants around. The beach is supervised during the summer months, it has toilets and showers.
