The viewpoint of the Puerto de las Palomas is the first obligatory stop for everyone who enters the Sierra de Cazorla. It is 1200 meters above sea level and gives you stunning views over the entire valley of the newborn Guadalquivir. It is really spectacular everything you can see, from the Pico de Cabañas (2026 m.) To the right the Poyos de la Mesa, the route from the Cerrada del Utrero with the Cola de Caballo, to the peak of El Yelmo (1809 m. ) to the left, already in the Sierra de Segura. The town you see below is Arroyo Frío. To not miss anything you see, you have indications on a panel and also carved on the same stone that serves as a railing of the viewpoint.
