The Rappenlochschlucht is located about five kilometers southeast of the Dornbirn town center in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. It is one of the largest gorges in Central Europe. It was created by the breakthrough of Ebniter and Dornbirner Ache through the calcareous Merge Mountains of the Bregenzerwald Range. It is located at the entrance to the Ebnit Walsers settlement, slightly above the old Gütle industrial estate.
