The Roman aqueduct of Valencia de Alcántara would lead to the city the waters of a fountain called del Oro, located next to the village of San Pedro, to the southwest of the main town. From this source to Valencia de Alcántara, the complete hydraulic work would carry the waters along about 8 kilometers, which would be the real length of the entire aqueduct. © Sara Rodríguez Romo
