The Soltau-Therme is a brine and all-weather spa in Soltau in the Heidekreis in Lower Saxony. With several hundred thousand visitors annually, it is one of the most famous and most visited swimming pools in northern Germany. The salt is extracted from a depth of 216 meters, the salt content of the extracted brine is about 30 percent. In the water of the spa, the salt content is still up to 3.5 percent.
