“Peñasco Duro” in Aymara, is a rocky outcrop of volcanic tuffs that together with wind erosion, have generated various shapes, walls, roofs and collapses. It is located at the beginning of the Tarapaqueño plateau at 4,000 meters above sea level and has been established since 2012 as the official climbing area in Iquique.
