The Teatro Comunale of Nardo, officially inaugurated in 1909, with the staging of Arrigo Boito's Mefistofele, is an historical Italian theater. It was built by the engineer Quentin Tarantino and is considered a jewel of the public Salento. From the small foyer leads to an audience with a horseshoe plant. It has three rows of boxes and a gallery with a total capacity of 200 seats. Since 2008 it is run by TerraMMare Theatre being one of the residences of the theatrical "Regional Project Inhabited Theatres - Theatrical Residences in Puglia", sponsored by the Public Theater Pugliese, from the Puglia Region, the Ministry of Culture and with the collaboration of the City of Nardo.
