The Uttarayan Complex, Shantiniketan

Description

This complex, just outside the Visva Bharati University campus, has five houses from the time of Rabindranath Tagore. They are called Punascha, Shyamali, Konarka, Udichi, and Udayan. The great bard used to live in the house called Udayan. The house called Bichitra is now a museum that houses several of Rabindranath's personal belongings.
